a Beautiful Vintage Figurine.
Came from a friends collection. he went All over . In his collection this was the only Sheppard.
The dog has a flea bite on left ear that looks like someone touched up. also minor flea bites around  Ear-head.
Nice to add to your collection .made by Mortens's studio.
as is as found in Vintage condition.
Beautifully detailed 1940's German Shepherd dog figurine designed by esteemed Swedish sculptor Oscar Mortens. Mortens came to the U.S. and became a naturalized citizen after studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm and the Berlin Academy of Art. He won the Gold Medal for sculpture in 1933. His dog figurines, produced at his studio in Chicago, are quality works of art.
