Description
We are offering two, somewhat hard to find depression glass tumblers made by Federal Glass Company of Columbus, Ohio in the early 1930's. They hold 10 ounces and measure 5 inches tall. They are pictured in a 1929 Federal Glass catalog as
referenced in
Hazel Weatherman's "Colored Glass of the Depression Era / 2". The pattern is called "Corded Optic".
There are a few manufacturing defects that are often seen in depression glass such as mold or straw marks and tiny air bubbles. There are a few, very light scratches that indicate some usage over 90 years. As shown in the photos the lips of both glasses are uneven. This does not appear to be former chips that were skillfully repaired, but simply a quirk in the molding process.
The items will be securely boxed and wrapped in bubble wrap to assure safe delivery. Shipment will be made within 1-2 business days after payment using 2-5 day USPS Priority Shipping with tracking. We will provide positive feedback for prompt payment. We would appreciate your feedback after receipt and inspection of your purchase. We want to make this a pleasant buying experience, so
