This technique does not try to pick tops or bottoms, rather it shows you how to position within a trend change.
You select the trend you want to trade. For simplicity, I wrote the technique using daily bars and the 18 Day Moving Averages, but shorter bars with various moving averages provide many intra-day applications can easily be applied when you know the entry rules. The rules seek to allow you to take a nice profit out of the trend you are trading, but timing and entry are critical. The rules also tell you when to pass on an entry if it does not immediately develop to maximize your odds of success.
When your defined trend is up, trade the long side, and when down, you simply trade the short side.
This applies to stocks, futures, indexes, or anything you can chart or trade.
